ARLINGTON, VA — October 8, 2025 — The Secretariat of the Architecture for REDD+ Transactions (ART) is pleased to announce the acceptance of two TREES Documents submitted by Tocantins, Brazil. These documents are posted publicly on the ART Registry and include a revised TREES Registration Document for the 2020-2024 Crediting Period and a TREES Monitoring Report for 2020-2023. Full Portuguese translations of the English documents will be available in the coming weeks to ensure greater accessibility for all stakeholders to review.
Stakeholder comments regarding these documents may be submitted to REDD@winrock.org. Comments received within 30 days of the posting of the full Portuguese translations will be forwarded to the program as well as their selected validation and verification body. Comments submitted after this time will be incorporated into the validation and verification process to the extent possible based on the status of the process on the date of comment submission.
The acceptance of these documents indicates their completeness and the program’s eligibility to move forward with independent validation and verification by an accredited validation and verification body. Following successful validation and verification, the ART Board may approve the issuance of serialized TREES Credits to Tocantins.
