TREES 3.0
TREES 3.0 reflects four years of experience implementing the Standard and ensures TREES continues to represent best practice in the market. The revision brings streamlined reporting, improved readability and clearer requirements throughout, reflecting experience and stakeholder feedback.
TREES 3.0 also opens new pathways for jurisdictions to join ART, including a new time-bound transition pathway developed in coordination with the World Bank. The pathway gives FCPF and ISFL jurisdictions a route to continue accessing carbon finance after the World Bank funds sunset, building on 16 years of the Bank’s work with these countries. Other categories of eligible Participants facing unique challenges in scaling their programs and obtaining finance also have a timebound transition pathway.
TREES 3.0 is the product of robust stakeholder engagement, including a public consultation that drew more than 30 submissions and nearly 700 individual comments, and the active engagement of the IPLC Advisory Group.
